WILLIAN TRANSFER TAKES NEW TURN WITH THESE RECENT CLAIMS

Chelsea transfer window has been up and down and not progressing for a while now especially with several reports coming out about their best leaving. E.g. Hazard, Willian, Courtois and Kante. Chelsea board has been doing their best to keep them at the club since Maurizio Sarri has displaced Antonio Conte, who lost the dressing room.

One of the players that seemed most likely to leave was Willian. Reports suggested that Barcelona and Manchester United were bidding for him which Chelsea held a high valuation of £70 million for him. However, Barcelona signed Malcom and Manchester United aren't close to signing him.

After it all appeared to be over, Willian wasn't back at Cobham for pre-season and was reported to have passport issue which Sarri thought it was strange and was going to have a word with the player.

But then...

Willian has appeared to instruct his lawyers to act on a "forged" letter which has circulated on the "football market."

He said on his Instagram profile:
In the recent days I have been informed that a “letter of authorization for player agent FIFA”, allegedly signed in my name has been circulated through the football market.
In such letter, Mr. Denirobson Dias would grant an authorization to Mr. Renee Pinheiro Anunciação to represent me until 15 August 2018, throughout football clubs in the United Kingdom and France.
I would like to clarify that I never signed such letter, the content of which I completely deny.
Finally, since there seem to be clear evidence that my signature has been forged, or anyway misused, I hereby inform that my lawyers are already instructed to proceed with all appropriate legal measures before any competent courts or authorities.
I hope I have clarified the matter and any possible misunderstanding.
Willian Borges da Silva

It would be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks. It's our guess that the letter might come from the Chelsea board.

CHELSEA BOARD: A CAUSE FOR WORRY

By Rildwan Oladejo Since the opening of the January (winter) transfer window of 2018, Chelsea football club has been linked with several football players from home and abroad. Most transfer windows are characterized by reports from various sources (confirmed and unconfirmed), but in every rumour there's an iota of truth. Inarguably, the team is currently rocked by crisis. Whatever it is that is the main cause of this "shadow-crisis" remains a mystery. However, a few options come to mind - Conte's future, the formation change, rumours of players likely departure and/or new arrivals struggle to adapt to life in the English premier league. Could this be why numerous players are constantly being linked to the club? Morata; the team's main point man is misfiring; Hazard's contract extension talks ongoing and Bakayoko is another player struggling with confidence in the midfield... where is the Chelsea Football Club we are accustomed to? The midfield o...

STOKE CITY APPOINTS PAUL LAMBERT AS MANAGER

Stoke City have appointed former Aston Villa and Norwich boss Paul Lambert as manager.   Stoke are 18th in the Premier League table, a point away from safety, and were sent out of the FA Cup by Coventry City ( League Two side ) .  Lambert hasn't managed any team since leaving Wolves at the end of last season. He has also managed Colchester, Wycombe Wanderers and Blackburn.  Stoke chairman Peter Coates said: "Paul greatly impressed us with his knowledge of our squad and had a clear plan of how he would improve our results. "He's a man who backed himself as a player, none more so than when he turned down contract offers in Scotland to go on trial in the German Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, and it's obvious he adopts the same approach as a manager." Vice-chairman John Coates added: "Paul has been successful in management at clubs with a strong and stable background and with local ownership - the kind of foundation we are able to give ...
