ROSS BARKLEY CONFIRMED AS CHELSEA PLAYER

Ross Barkley has finally signed for Chelsea after lots of rumors and speculation. The English international who has refused to play for everton until he finds a new club is very happy to join the London side.

On Chelsea website:
Barkley arrives with a wealth of experience for a player so young, having already made 150 Premier League appearances for Everton, as well as being named in England squads for both the World Cup and European Championships.
His versatility ensures he can play just behind the striker, in a deeper midfield role or in an advanced wide position, with his ability to get on the ball and create chances one of the player’s biggest strengths.
Barkley said: ‘I'm overwhelmed, I'm looking forward to it and I'm really excited to get started.
‘To be given a fresh start at a new club like Chelsea, it's unbelievable for me. I'm looking forward to continuing where I left off at the end of last season and hoping to improve and add more goals to my game.’
CONTE WORDS:
‘We are talking about an English player, a young player, with good prospects for Chelsea,’ Conte said. ‘It’s a good opportunity for the club to buy this player. He’s a good prospect.
‘He’s very young, I think he has a lot of space for improvement, he’s very strong physically with good technique.
‘He’s a good prospect but it’s very important to understand when he can recover from his injury. He had a bad injury, he had surgery and he hasn’t played for seven months. We must have great patience and, at the same time, hope to recover him very quickly so he can help us for the rest of the season.’
it should be recalled that Ross Barkley was close to signing for Chelsea during the Summer transfer window but changed his mind to take proper decision during January.

Most transfer windows are characterized by reports from various sources (confirmed and unconfirmed), but in every rumour there's an iota of truth. Inarguably, the team is currently rocked by crisis. Whatever it is that is the main cause of this "shadow-crisis" remains a mystery. However, a few options come to mind - Conte's future, the formation change, rumours of players likely departure and/or new arrivals struggle to adapt to life in the English premier league. Could this be why numerous players are constantly being linked to the club? Morata; the team's main point man is misfiring; Hazard's contract extension talks ongoing and Bakayoko is another player struggling with confidence in the midfield... where is the Chelsea Football Club we are accustomed to? The midfield o...

STOKE CITY APPOINTS PAUL LAMBERT AS MANAGER

Stoke City have appointed former Aston Villa and Norwich boss Paul Lambert as manager.   Stoke are 18th in the Premier League table, a point away from safety, and were sent out of the FA Cup by Coventry City ( League Two side ) .  Lambert hasn't managed any team since leaving Wolves at the end of last season. He has also managed Colchester, Wycombe Wanderers and Blackburn.  Stoke chairman Peter Coates said: "Paul greatly impressed us with his knowledge of our squad and had a clear plan of how he would improve our results. "He's a man who backed himself as a player, none more so than when he turned down contract offers in Scotland to go on trial in the German Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, and it's obvious he adopts the same approach as a manager." Vice-chairman John Coates added: "Paul has been successful in management at clubs with a strong and stable background and with local ownership - the kind of foundation we are able to give ...
