ROSS BARKLEY CONFIRMED AS CHELSEA PLAYER

Ross Barkley has finally signed for Chelsea after lots of rumors and speculation. The English international who has refused to play for everton until he finds a new club is very happy to join the London side.

On Chelsea website:
Barkley arrives with a wealth of experience for a player so young, having already made 150 Premier League appearances for Everton, as well as being named in England squads for both the World Cup and European Championships.
His versatility ensures he can play just behind the striker, in a deeper midfield role or in an advanced wide position, with his ability to get on the ball and create chances one of the player’s biggest strengths.
Barkley said: ‘I'm overwhelmed, I'm looking forward to it and I'm really excited to get started.
‘To be given a fresh start at a new club like Chelsea, it's unbelievable for me. I'm looking forward to continuing where I left off at the end of last season and hoping to improve and add more goals to my game.’
CONTE WORDS:
‘We are talking about an English player, a young player, with good prospects for Chelsea,’ Conte said. ‘It’s a good opportunity for the club to buy this player. He’s a good prospect.
‘He’s very young, I think he has a lot of space for improvement, he’s very strong physically with good technique.
‘He’s a good prospect but it’s very important to understand when he can recover from his injury. He had a bad injury, he had surgery and he hasn’t played for seven months. We must have great patience and, at the same time, hope to recover him very quickly so he can help us for the rest of the season.’
it should be recalled that Ross Barkley was close to signing for Chelsea during the Summer transfer window but changed his mind to take proper decision during January.

Chelsea transfer window has been up and down and not progressing for a while now especially with several reports coming out about their best leaving. E.g. Hazard, Willian, Courtois and Kante. Chelsea board has been doing their best to keep them at the club since Maurizio Sarri has displaced Antonio Conte, who lost the dressing room. One of the players that seemed most likely to leave was Willian. Reports suggested that Barcelona and Manchester United were bidding for him which Chelsea held a high valuation of £70 million for him. However, Barcelona signed Malcom and Manchester United aren't close to signing him.
